Tubeless Ready Rims
Bontrager TLR (Tubeless Ready) Road is the first fully integrated tubeless system for road wheels. When you go tubeless with TLR, you can run lower tire pressure for increased traction and comfort without the threat of pinch flats.
At the core of Trek’s endurance comfort technology is the IsoSpeed decoupler, the result of an 18-month study of how a racing bike performs over rough roads, and how that performance affects the rider.
A 12mm front thru axle makes steering more precise for more control, and the quick release feature makes wheel removal easy.
Ride Tuned Seatmast
Our no-cut Ride Tuned seat mast is designed for the rigors of pro racing. It’s the lightest, most comfortable solution for day-in, day-out performance and comfort, however rough the roads or hard the riding.
Horizontal Sliding Dropout
Horizontal sliding dropout with redundant securing mechanisms allows for no-slip single speed or geared options and provides the ability to dial in the geometry to the match each rider’s style.
Sometimes you need a little extra protection, so we developed our light, thought external Carbon Armor polymer Shield. It provides reassurance when you know your down tube is bound to take some abuse.
Gravel Specific Tires
Wider gravel-specific tires provide better traction and more stability while riding on gravel or dirt tracks.
Flat Mount Disc brakes
All-new Flat Mount disc brakes are more elegant, lighter, smaller, and cleaner than traditional disc brakes, providing superior performance and stopping power under harsh conditions.

With the Checkpoint SL 6 TREK Gravel Bike you can handle a variety of riding surfaces and preferences. You can travel over mixed surfaces including gravel, singletrack, road and segmented concrete on this bike and it is great.
The bikes are beautiful, comfortable, efficient, and well designed. The three things that Trek could improve on are front end compliance, finish quality (cable friction occurs during the first trip) and rock guard design on the bottom tube. On front end compliance, consider specifying this with a carbon rod.
The stone guard has several gaps where it meets the bottom tube, which is exactly where mud and rock enter at high speed.
Overall, this bike is fun to ride.
